After her parents death when Rose was only twelve years old and her little sister Gemini was just five the two girls were send to a hospital to recover from their injuries and later on to an orphanage run by nuns. As most couples found Rose too old to adopt she stayed there and found out she had to say goodbye to her sister. The fact Gemini was a lot younger and according to others incredibly cute looking was what got her adopted by a couple. They didn't want Rose as she was already too old according to them and had too much a mind of her own. This crushed Rose, as not only had she lost her father, who was the only person who ever supported her, and her mother, who she recently found out about was her stepmom, but her sister as well in a time span of only 6 months. Feeling lost Rose became even quieter then she already was and focused on her studies. Though she had a hard time learning because of the fact she has a small case of dyslexia Rose did study hard and did everything she could to excel in her classes. She got help from a friend she had at the orphanage and thanks to him her years of high school weren't that bad. He made her laugh and happy and both were proud they became honor students. They went to prom together as friends and graduated in the same year. When he got accepted into Harvard it was the last time she saw him as she went off to Wellesley. Promising to write each other in the first year their letters were frequent but as they both got busy with their schoolwork their letters became less frequent and eventually stopped. She sometimes wonders what happened to him and how he's doing but since he probably has already left Harvard and the last letter she send to his P.O. box came back saying it had been closed Rose has no idea how to contact him.
After having graduated from Wellesley Rose stayed in the town there working for different companies doing secretary and accounting work which she loved doing. On her free nights Rose played piano in different bars to earn some extra money but most of the time she didn't even care about that as she just loved to entertain people and see them having a good time. Deciding though that Wellesley just wasn't the town for her Rose decided to move back to Salem to try and find a new adventure. After saving up her money for a long time Rose bought a train ticket to Salem and got a room at the only place she could afford. After a little while she found a job as an accountant at L&A Architecture but soon was promoted to being a personal assistant. Following a course for the past three years where she only spend one night a week actually going to classes Rose has been trying to follow in her Father's footsteps and become an architect as well. She hopes to eventually be promoted to partner at L&A Architecture and with her apprentice ship there already she has high hopes this will happen.
Thanks to her other boss Loki she has found a new apartment, which she recently moved into, and she loves the place. She finally feels like she truly has a place of her own and has even started calling it her home. She enjoys having friends over just to hang out though she'd love to have a female friend as most of her friends are males. She has been trying to get a friend she has know ever since they shared a room in the orphanage to move to Salem but sadly as of late the girl hasn't bitten yet.
Though Rose hasn't dated much in the past and isn't very confident about her body because of the scars she has she doesn't feel like she's missing out. She knows her mister right is out there and that she will find him eventually but she's not desperately looking for someone.
Sadly though thanks to all the teasing and badmouthing she suffered ever since she was a little girl, including her mother telling her numerous account she didn't deserve to be loved let alone live, Rose has been battling depression for years and has been taking the medicine Efexor which has helped her deal with it though she has tried to get off of them for a while now but the withdrawl effects keep making her going back to using the medicine on doctors advice.
